Also, tangentially, what the heck is Monkeypox? My initial Google search turns up a disease in animals not humans. Have there been cases of that in humans now? It turns up on front page of WaPo and I don’t have access.

Another teacher with this as well. We are down to about negative 5 subs in the building. Taking sick leave unless you're in the hospital or have covid right now comes with a lot of guilt and huge mess for the school.

Another teacher here. I don’t have any sick or personal leave. I burned through mine staying home with CoVID and with my kids who had to quarantine a lot earlier in the year. Now that my under 5 is outside of his 90 days post infection I know I will have to take some more unpaid time in the next few weeks. So definitely working with a cold.
I'll be intrigued to see if DCUM starts calling you a horrible person, like they do everyone else who works with a cold, context be damned.
I'm sorry that we don't offer paid leave.

I don't know what you are referencing. There's a person who is suggesting that vaccination means you'll test negative even if you have covid. That's either someone trying oddly to be funny or some deep anti-vax conspiracy sh!t.
np: Being vaccinated changes the timing and responsiveness of the at-home tests. Read the news. No conspiracy.
ok, point me to this news, please. And timing is a different point than what the other two posters are suggesting which is that the vaccine means you test negative even though you are positive. Presumably on a PCR.
