He has become exponentially more popular since this thread was originally posted, interestingly. Canada is looking at putting a draconian anti-free speech law into place that might as well be called the “Stop Peterson from Speaking” law as it seems almost personally targeted at him. (The proposed bill is C-63 if you want to read about it.)
People in Canada view him as speaking truth to power, including former Trudeau supporters. I don’t think you realize how deeply and profoundly unpopular the extremist progressive positions have become in Canada (I am Canadian).
So yes the tweet you linked is dumb. But Peterson himself is rising meteorically and I suspect he’s just posting that to get a rise out of people.
He’s popular but he’s a moron. His arguments always make leaps in logic that even the most basic philosophy student can spot. He’s popular only with the incel “community”.
I assure you he has enormous popularity in Canada outside of the incel community. He is seen as one of the few who can speak truth to power, which is a terribly sad statement to make, but it’s the truth.

Just looked, Petersen is an ogre.
There are no overweight male models, but there are overweight female models. Men are held to a higher standard in this vein. Men are also sent off to war to die and are still expected to be the family bread winner and work their ass off and die of a heart attack 5 to 10 years earlier then their female spouse. So, let’s stop bashing the men again on this forum. Yeah, this guy is an ogre, but once again a thread is headed down the anti-men path …

His comment could be interpreted as conveying a personal opinion or an observation of statistical significance to the general population. He is, after all, a clinical psychologist. That there are people who was have found the model to be beautiful does not change the fact that she is obese to an unhealthy level and not attractive to most men.
Speak for yourself. I think Yumi Nu (yes, she has a name) is gorgeous.
She's young and has enough collagen where everything is "held" somewhat in place. In 20 years as the collagen breaks down that level of BMI leads to flabby skin aprons (which despite almost nobody finding attractive, have medical issues of their own).
Okay, so? Only women who are definitely still going to be hot in 20 years should be on SI? Because most 45 year olds don’t look very good.
