12 yrs old is too late. I've seen many cases.
Just stop, 12 years old isn’t too late for just about anything.
+1. My cousins kid first played baseball at 13 and went on to play at Gettysburg. These naysayers are morons.
Yeah....and I won big lottery ticket yesterday.
It is fantasy land that on average late comer to the baseball will get ahead so much. Trust me, I spent way much time with kids and baseball over decades.
If you think I was bragging about.... Gettysburg... take a seat Gramps. I was sharing an anecdote I know first hand that counters the BS in here that 12 year olds have missed the bus on baseball. Hell, even the pros are full of athletes that played a different sport in college. Stop trying so hard to be on of the gate keepers of baseball. You guys are the worst. Washed up, never any good, loudmouths mansplaining everything to anyone with an ear.

I think babe Ruth ages out after 12. Plus the season is almost over. Not sure if they do a summer league. I think arlington little league does. I would recommend some camps. Check out coach Padgett at o’Connell and Virginia baseball club at greenbrier. I think they both still have slots available.
Agree on both of these camps! Kids of all ages/abilities and they have a ton of fun. It’s not too serious but still good instruction.
Yes to VBC camp this summer!
Also pick up a tee, a net to hit into, and a pitch back. Maybe do one lesson a month so he doesn’t practice any bad hitting/throwing habits. Those pitch backs are great for fielding practice
