To clarify, 76 is male life expectancy, 81 is female life expectancy.

This is a moving target. I would say elderly is 70 and over now. Middle-age is 50-70? Maybe. But there are 60 year olds today in much better share that 40 year olds in 1970. So does this term really mean anything?

1. All of the Golden Girls were retired, hence, the name Golden, as in Golden (retired) years. 35 is in no way middle age. I would say 45 to 60 is middle age.

To answer your question, middle age means there ain't no way I will ever be pregnant again. Hallelujah! Praise the Lord. Thank you Jesus! Obviously, I am over age 45.

You are confusing elderly with unable. They aren’t the same thing. Elderly is simple a descriptor of how old one is. Old doesn’t mean bad and young doesn’t mean better.
I’m the person you quoted and I’m 51. I definitely believe older is better. 😀
