Subject: I’m moving to Boston and need to know where to find the best pizza
Reviving this to ask who keeps suggesting at Anthonys?? That is crap cheap pizza for BU students, not worth a trip for anyone else.

New England has lots of different types of pizza. Lots of excellent pizza, Metro Boston included.
Personally, I would check out Providence. Lots of wonderful pizza joints, and prices tend to be better. Also lots of great Asian restaurants.
Any Providence places you would suggest?

Also umbertos in north end but you can only get it at lunch.
These are the best suggestions of this thread.
Boston has a lot of very bad pizza too. If they sell
Greek good and pizza, it’s probably not great.

Umberto's is the best.
East Boston Santarpio's is #1/#2 when they're on, but they've become inconsistent.
Regina's (North End location only) is top 5.
Ernesto's isn't very good.
Bianchi's on Revere Beach used to be top 5, but my understanding is that it's changed since the renovation.
Other good spots include Pasta Beach and Picco.
People who tell you to go to a rando place in the North End don't know what they're talking about. There's lots of bad tourist food in the North End.
