Funny because I know A LOT of families who have already accepted and plan on attending despite these facts. Can't imagine they have better waitlist prospects for 5/6 unless they plan on late exit for burbs

I wouldn't get carried away. It's an antiseptic commercial space with a large block of windowless interior rooms. The temporary aspect is the only redeeming factor. I am concerned that space is remarkably tight for potential permanent locations and it needs to accommodate HS programming

Basis is in a historic building in a great area of downtown, steps from the mall, downtown offices, and bus/metro transportation.

Latin II is a rundown former warehouse that looks like a prison in a high-crime area, adjacent to bars and liquor stores, and not convenient to bus or metro.

BASIS is terrible school building in a great location. Latin II is an even worse building not well located or easily accessible by transit.

Good that it's not permanent, but the prospects for good permanent locations are terrible. Maybe Latin leadership has inside knowledge on other charters on the chopping block in the near term which could be in play.

Not sure why mods deleted a post that named the Chairman of the Two Rivers Board. That's public information. If she doesn't want to be held to account for allowing things to go sideways on her watch then she shouldn't be on the Board.
