When I was teacher, inclusivity was a top priority of mine, so I wouldn’t say things like that. Unfortunately, that’s not the norm in the south, which is why I left.

Grade anything. Work 40hrs to rule and leave. We should not care as we are not cared for. just mirror the pathetic nature of our corrupt system

Of course there is a “normal” and standard family configuration. That doesn’t mean we can’t use inclusive language for kids who grow up in nonstandard family arrangements. Kids don’t choose their families and they don’t need to feel bad or “other” every time they bring home a letter from school.
