yes, she gained a lot of weight, i am surprised nobody mentioned it. if she dressed and behaved appropriately I think people would not dislike her face so much. in real life she is still quite recognizable.

Very puffy. Madonna seems to have gained weight in a lot of places. She used to be practically all tendons. She's much rounder now, which is nice because her figure is lovely, but she doesn't seem to know how to dress her new shape in a way that is funky and alluring. You can have an artsy, funky look as an older woman but do it in a contemporary way. Her sense of what constitutes edgy and artsy is stuck in 1984.

Is this why older rich people (basically everyone on TV, from actors to most politicians) look so smooth and shiny and weird these days? Or is it face lifts, or something else? As someone who has no knowledge of cosmetic procedures I don’t know where it comes from, but I find it so weird and I’m curious. It’s like everyone is sliding into an uncanny-valley version of themselves, and once I started noticing it’s all I see. I feel like the kid from The Emperor’s New Clothes.
They will insist (and do, over on the Beauty forum) that they get so many compliments and look totally natural. I do think the one-two punch of botox and fillers is what makes people look uncanny valley.
