Spring break is so late this year that your kid won't be affected that much.

My kid lost a teacher in October and spent the rest of the year with a series of truly terrible subs.

Why wouldn’t anyone prioritize their own health and well-being over a job? When the cons of an occupation outweigh the pros, people should go elsewhere. Maybe employers, including schools, need to sweeten the pot enough to make the job worth staying. No one is required to sacrifice their well-being for their employer. Lord knows employers drop employees in a heartbeat when it benefits them. Teachers are not martyrs and we shouldn’t expect them to be.
