My prim and proper mils initials are ASS (with middle named changed to maiden name when married)...I definitely can't get her monogrammed gifts...lol

Whether it bothers you or not, there will likely be at least a period of time where these initials bother your DD.

My kids have ‘tacky ostentatious’ stuff - like their backpacks, soccer jackets, and ll bean duffels, with their initials.

Yes, op, I would avoid a name combination that results in BAR or BRA on their rolling duffle at college.

Ha, I went through the exact same thought process. I'm an A and we were going with Rose for the middle name (due to the family connection). There wasn't a B name on our list, though, so we didn't have to make that call.
