I disagree. These types of events are an essential part of the school communities. More schools need to bring them back.

Agree. The priority should be educating kids while keeping staff safe, not entertaining parents.
You clearly do not understand the purpose of a father-daughter dance. It is hardly for “entertaining parents.”

You clearly aren’t a LF parent because there are several factual errors in your story that anyone with a child at the school would know.
I think the school itself is doing as well as they can with an extremely difficult parent group on their hands.
Yes apparently some parents were angry when they dropped masks at recess! Yikes!
These parents are welcome to go back to public school. The school’s culture changed dramatically with the influx of public school families fleeing pandemic closures.
That's a gross attitude. I think you are the problem with the school culture.
You clearly are not a parent at the school.
I am not. Why would I want to be part of a parent community that complains about "public school parents" ruining the "school culture"?
Why are you even commenting on the school then?

Maybe they overly expanded during pandemic and can't fill those spaces since schools have returned to in person?

It is gross. I doubt public school parents were clamoring for the father-daughter dance that apparently caused the shut down. I’m sure they sent their kids there for the right reason - in person education.
