I thought it was 105 for the first 5', then 5 lbs an inch. So, 140 at 5'7, which I am and everyone tells me I'm soooo thin/ eat a cheeseburger.
This is the first time I have ever heard this extremely disordered take on what a woman should weigh. I am 5-2 and weigh 115-120 depending on the week. Guess I better get on a diet!
I'm 5' and would have to starve myself or be critically ill to weigh 100-105 lbs, but I still manage to be a very fit size 2 at 115 lbs. That said, I do not think it's crazy to assume a lot of women between 5'0 and 5'4 are very small framed and should be aiming for the lower end of the weight range more in line with the 5'/100 lb rule. Nor is it crazy to make adjustments based on your specific frame and musculature.
I'm also 5' and weigh 115 and I'm a size 2. I'm short but not small framed (yay me...not).
But, I could also lose 5 lbs or so and be completely healthy.
I think if you have a small frame, the 100 lbs for 5' makes sense.
