At least his principal residence is likely in DC. Unlike the questions about another Ward 3 Council candidate.

Come on PP. Name this candidate and explain what you are insinuating.

There is a particular CP resident who used to be on the ANC who is obsessed with where a particular ANC 3C commissioner lives as well as the guy who heads the CP Smart Growth group and she spends a lot of time trying to smear both of them on DCUM. Guessing she's been blocked over the years so is trying to steer clear of that happening again by not naming him.

Oh for Pete's sake. Stop dancing around this. Now you've made it clear that the candidate is Beau Finley. Can you clarify what the actual allegation against him is, and whether there is any reason to believe it is true?

He owns a second home on the Chesapeake. The stalker insists it's his primary residence.

Finley doesn't own a second home. It's the home that he owns. That's fine, but he's campaigning as the only "renter" in the Ward 3 Council race. He may rent a pied a terre in DC, but he's also a homeowner, but in Maryland. That's where he's chosen to invest in a SFH, to put down his roots. Again, that's his choice, but it's also relevant as voters make their choice as to who focuses there time and full attention in the ward to understand their concerns and issues.

Isn't Ben Bergman also a renter? At the last debate he said he lives in an apartment building. I guess it could be coop/condo?

Well, the child who is running isn't old enough to rent and has never had a real job so can't be a home owner either. That doesn't seems to be bothering people.

Mr. Finley also wants to gut single family zoning in Ward 3.

Got any proof of that?

Impressive, but really, we have serious issues that need to be addressed and having an inexperience kid representing an 8th of the city is simply offensive.

Uh-huh. There are a lot of things offensive things in this city. This kid isn’t one of them. Hope he wins.

+100

I really like him based on what I've read and heard. Kudos to him for speaking up and fighting for his beliefs.

I hope he makes lawn signs that say "I'm voting for the kid"

Honestly, he seems more educated about many of the issues than the other candidates. I think he said he'll go to AU if elected. Good for him.

And he actually attended a DCPS school.

? He's a senior at Maret.

I thought he goes to Jackson-Reed? That's what it says in the first post.

He goes to Jackson-Reed, aka Wilson. He's a DCPS kid, not a private school kid.

~2/3 of ward 3 voters live in Condos/Apartments. They just don't whine as much as the single family homeowners in the Palisades.

Really? Someone mentioned up thread that a DC council member believes the Rothschilds control the weather. An inexperienced kid isn't more offensive than that and at least we know for sure this kid is educated.
