Address where you want dirty diapers to go if you invite an infant into your house. They all use diapers you know. And so did you and every other person. Not a big deal but to avoid upset... communicate what you want.

I agree it’s not great to put a poopy diaper in the kitchen trash at a friends house. That said, I would give your friend some grace. It’s very likely she was not trying to be rude or disrespectful and just didn’t realize it would bother you. Tell her where to put it next time.

It’s gross. Find a trash can. It can be outside. We don’t have to do things the exact way our parents did. We can be good guests AND not carry fermenting poop around. Ask where to take it if needed.

Yeah that's gross. that's why I take it home and I put in a plastic bag and then trashcan when I'm home.

Of course it's normal for a friend to change her child's diaper at your house. What is she supposed to do, keep her kid in a poopy diaper for several hours?

I used to always ask (1) where should I change the diaper? and (2) where should I throw it away?

Usually the answer if a friend didn't have a baby themselves was (1) on the bathroom floor and (2) in the garage/outside in the trash can.

Let it go. Now you know sometimes children poop in diapers. And that said poop occasionally needs to be thrown out. Situational awareness helps. If you notice someone is changing a diaper or they disappear with their baby and their diaper bag tip them off where the outdoor can is.


And you can leave your pad in my trashcan. Just wrap it up with a little tissue first.

Well, the diaper in trashcan wasn't even wrapped. and I didn't even know she used our trashcan.
so I didn't have a chance to tell her at the time.
Next time, I'll tell her to wrap it and throw outside bin.

But in my opinion, I don't need to prepare a diaper pail for someone (even friends), and people with kids should bring plastic bags or something to cover it up.
Again, I'm not trying to offend anyone. that's how I think "manner" is and how I want to be as parents in the future.
