Why should women’s groups advocate for men? Seems to me like you need to get off your lazy ass and advocate for yourselves the way women do.
Notice how this post had zero replies. It’s all ok with everyone to have hostility against a man. Even the OP ignored the existence of men who are in the same position. Shouldn’t this issue be about all stay at home parents?
How many SAHD are out there? Until SAHM doesn’t get due respect, we won’t see man taking the back seat for their wives career even if they want to. This role and sacrifice needs acceptance and respect.

Need a change in narrative, from talking about women and SAHM to talking about the needs of FAMILIES. Many of my male colleagues crave the same flexibility that women do but they are pushed back by the "driven" ones.
Not just that, in the main, women are not going to be attracted to and respect SAHD types. It is what it is.
Just like ambitious men, ambitious women can see the value of a content and supportive spouse who can help them focus on their goals.

I am not a SAHM but here are a few things. Guaranteed medical care, SSI benefits, path to reemployment at jobs that match their education and skills, paid time off or childcare relief so they can take the occasional day off.

I was a SAHM for a couple of years. I needed absolutely no acknowledgement outside of my immediate family.
This is the problem these days, everybody wants to be the hero of the story. Things that should be commonplace and expected all of a sudden warrant a place on the Times 100.
