She take away teacher pay and increase class sizes so every classroom in APS had very expensive stuff and most of it, we don't need.
She's not concerned with pre-covid information but may start to use it to quell her anxiety.

I always believed the mask mandate should be rescinded once the vaccine becomes available. I am also against preschoolers being masked. That being said I’ve always been for improving ventilation and filtration.
parts of the old aTS new Key have classrooms that need new systems. I think APS needs to evaluate that without covid consideration and not do sweeping changes like vent lady likes.
Also, that flat enrollment is BS. Obvs we have multi fam housing coming on but also, some people who went to private schools will come back when things normalize.
That said, if the teachers are happy with the budget, so am I. Happy teachers = happy students.
I think the long term enrollment projections are off but fine for next year. I don’t think we should get too bogged down for a budget process that happens every year. Keeping the schools staffed is very important right now!
Haha, kicking the enrollment can down the road. Classic APS.

Do you post daily 10000 word diatribes on the subject?[/quote
The anger against "ventilation lady" confuses me too I'm not really sure who she is and haven't read her posts, but the vitriol against here on DCUM is disconcerting. Air quality was a problem before COVID. COVID made us all more aware of air quality and what can be done to improve inside air quality. We live in a pretty urban environment. Lots of kids have asthma, and even those who don't would benefit from cleaner air. Since when has asking politely one time for a change ever resulted in that change? I applaud her keeping the issue of air quality on everyone's radar.
It’s the singular focus and the lack of ability to let any good news have a moment before she starts beating the drum.
