MS-13 is a national and international gang composed primarily of immigrants or descendants from El Salvador and other central American countries. Branches or “cliques” of MS-13, one of the largest street gangs in the United States, operate throughout Frederick County, Anne Arundel County, Prince George’s County, and Montgomery County, Maryland.

Says someone who’s probably never lived in — or even visited — either.
Yet another “innocently “ questioning post that purports to be useful but that actseves to denigrate the area, without actually having to provide any specific information. How Carlsonian!

Top google result, took 2 secs:
The chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime in Rockville is 1 in 68. Based on FBI crime data, Rockville is not one of the safest communities in America. Relative to Maryland, Rockville has a crime rate that is higher than 64% of the state's cities and towns of all sizes.

Apologies if I offended anyone, just trying to find the safest place I can for my family that we can afford. If there’s an increased chance for stray bullets in certain places I’d feel more comfortable not living there.
My friend lives in a million dollar home in the crunchy a$$ part of Takoma Park. A stray bullet entered her home through her wall and ended up 2 inches over her headboard. This is an America problem. I live in Silver Spring and haven't noticed any type of gang activity. Perhaps if you told us your price range and must haves, we can give suggestions.

I didn’t realize that OP expressing that he doesn’t want to live in areas with gang problems would at all be an objectionable view. OP, don’t listen to these nuts. I don’t have the info you want, but just saying to not pay them any mind.

As someone who went to a HS that had actual gangs, of course, I wouldn't want to live in an area with gang activity, but I'm just wondering what proof there is of gang activity in some of these cities.
Look up local news. They busted a major cartel in VA and it was underreported nationally. Google the area to exhaustion of the results. Check local papers and crime stats. Google drag racing and ATVs and the area
First of all, drag racing is not indicative of gang activity. I'm not sure why you would think that. Did you watch too much Fast and Furious?
I look at the local news, and while there is crime everywhere, that doesn't mean ALL crime is related to gang activity.
So, I'll ask again... where exactly are we seeing gang activity? I'm not saying it doesn't exist. I'm asking specifically where the gang activity is taking place.
