Way too much money for that to happen. Detroit and Baltimore are "hell". The District is beyond filthy rich.

It’s all those people coming in from Virginia.
Uh, no. Virginians who used to frequent Georgetown now avoid it like the plague. Nice try, though.

We live inside the beltway in VA.
Georgetown is dead to us. Sad, because I went to American and used to LOVE the old Georgetown.
Yes as soon as you move out of the city you become your parents. They do not have Applebee’s or the Cracker Barrel in Georgetown.

Plus 1. I live in Montgomery county and I’ve heard about 4 murders here in about 20 years. I don’t think we add to that total either.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Ugh, my DD is going to Georgetown University and this makes me so nervous
416 people were murdered in DC in 2021.
Lie.
+1 That number includes Fairfax, MoCo, and PG counties. DC was at just under 200 by itself, which is high enough without adding in the burbs.
I mean, fairfax county is like 50% higher population than dc and had 21 total homicides in 2021. Let's not pretend it's a significant contributor to the crime in the area lol

Is PP correct that there have been multiple shootings at the Columbia heights metro station during prime time hours? I had t heard that, and find that super concerning.

It peaked with the Kennedys and then held on through the 80s. There has always been a disproportionate amount of crime in Georgetown vs other well off NW neighborhoods. I never understood the allure
