Not really sure what you mean. Everyone hates going to a tournament and playing teams you usually play. Most top local teams are in the mid Atlantic ecnl. I’m sure tournament organizers only want two (maybe three if the third is RU) from the mid Atlantic ecnl in any one division, including the top one. There are definitely teams that would be in the top bracket if organizers ignored conferences.

Boys side is missing mls next teams from either this area or elsewhere, other than SYC, which plays more tournament games than league games.

Loudon is there. Look again. Arlington has not quite been as strong as the others, but maybe they didn't apply.

Arl hasn’t lost to SYC, beating them for one result in a finals. Won 2 and lost 2 against Loudoun. Haven’t played Bethesda.

Fair point on SYC this year. Loudon's wins over Arlington included a tourney final. SYC made WAGS final (and won many tourneys last year). Bethesda won the two tourneys it was in. May not be the case Arlington is actually weaker, just a little less to show for it. I should have qualified based on very limited info and tourney results.

Arlington have been aggressively recruiting the top 9yos from Va clubs like McLean to prep for the jump to 9v9 and trying to own the market in NoVa on all the top players east of Loudoun. Heck they took 4-5 McLean players from the U9 to U10 transition.

Define "aggressively recruiting"...

The 4-5 who moved from U9-u10 in the Fall possibly, but Arl coaches have been recruiting players in the Fall season with an eye toward next cycle and beyond.

Obviously girls only.

Few things. It is more girls leaving McLean vs Arlington recruiting, top 9 -10 year old …lol seriously?, what Alex does is not what Moe wants and come back at u15-16

Did you even look at the JC Facebook site? Boys were all announced first.

Not PP but they said FULL brackets and are correct. Girls full Monday, boys Tuesday.

BINGO.

Aside from being asinine and unfunny (and likely racists), your dumb answer isn’t even responsive to the question. “In prison” is not an age group, jerkface.

Good response but would have been so much better if you just went straight to the “that’s not an age group, jerkface”.

I think that’s fair as well. Pretty even between those teams with each able to make a case. I think the real outlier in that bracket, at least from the local teams, is Alexandria being in. They lost to Stoddert in a tournament finals and have been completely blown out playing up in EDP to the tune of 0-8 with a 1-47 GD.

Are you seriously discussing soccer teams with 9 year olds? Not even playing 11 v 11 or close to a full field. You’re banking on your kid getting a full ride aren’t you? RELAX…in 5 years (when it’s starts to matter) those teams will look very different.

Relax. Compared to the usual arguments and mud slinging on here, this is a fairly innocuous commentary on top bracket selection for a major tourney. Nobody is attacking other teams or talking smack. Some people come to this board to, you know, talk about travel soccer, and may have ulittles.
