Are you really asking this question? I’d be mortified if I were you. I’d also never go to another game with my husband. I don’t even know if I would have a husband after that.

OP, you both should have moved your chairs onto the field. That would put the assistant dad coach in his place!!!!!

Wow. This is amazing. Please share more of your knowledge.

I support you, OP. Ignore the haters! They’re not trying to get close to the field because they can see their kid sitting on the bench from any old spot.

I don't give a shit if your kid is Alex Morgan or Lionel Messi. Society has rules and this is freaking youth soccer. Get a grip.

Sad to say that if this type of shit continues, we should probably just keep all parents on the other side of the fences. Has anyone ever improved their view by hugging the line? No. It's a childish power play. And, it says alot about you.

The worst are the parents who literally stand ON THE FIELD as they scream for their kid’s team.

I’m a pretty low-key guy, but this issue has been the only cause of parental disputes at my kid’s soccer games.

It’s a safety hazard, for one thing; it’s also entirely disrespectful and intimidating to the kids from the other team.

Parents - stay the OFF THE FIELD!

Asst Dad needs to coach the team and stop patrolling the sidelines.

It must have been your MIL who tried to drive her car through the ropes at the Kentucky 3Day Event with a horse approaching at 30 MPH. "But I have to get over THERE!!!"

I was a lowly, unpaid volunteer but she had to back down and listen to me.

You and your husband need to back down and listen to the officials if you want your daughter to have any fun.
