My DH and I started sleeping in separate rooms after many years of me being perpetually sleep deprived from disrupted sleep. I couldn't take it anymore. Before telework, I was almost falling asleep at work and while driving home. We have the trifecta of snoring, different sleep schedules (early riser/late to bed) and different temperature preferences.

I'm finally sleeping well again! It was definitely strange at first, though.

Mathis does nothing for a snoring/farting spouse.

Uhh...you know you don't do it in your sleep, right?

Best response ever.

Wait. Why? Do parents of teens really not have sex?

We wait til they leave the house. They go to school and engage in other activities outside the home. It's not like when they are 5 and they go to bed at 8pm. At night, they are up.

We have teens. We close the door and lock it and don't answer.

Oh my God. It’s not because your teens are going to walk into your bedroom unannounced. It’s because of the noise. Come on.
