We got notification of several (12) positives at TJ today. This is not over, we all need to continue to keep doing the basic stuff to keep students and staff safe and schools open. Please have your kids wear masks no matter what the Governor says. It is the most effective mitigation measure we have to keep spread in schools down.

I don't know. We got a school-wide notification on Friday of an employee testing positive, but we haven't gotten anything yet about the wave of student positives today, and i haven't heard any gossip.

Results from the asymptomatic screening came in really late from last week. Taylor was tested last Tuesday, my guess is this is the result from that testing. Our school got tested on Monday and we didnt get the results until Saturday at 12am.

So if they are from the in school testing, they went to school for 5 days while positive, are probably better now, and still have to miss a few more days of school to complete the 10 day isolation?

That makes sense, but good grief what use is a test that takes almost a week to get results back?

I 100% agree, I hope it was just the first week with the new provider, because it has no usefulness otherwise. Most of those kids will no longer be contagious by the time they get test results.

It’s COVID positive. We were out last week with another I’ll Ed’s and did not appear on the report.

What school is this?

This question also may be getting asked in preparation for asynchronous quarantine learning. My 4th grader was told by her teacher today that kids who need to stay home because they are sick or aren't feeling well will be able to receive assignments from the teacher via seesaw. If the school doesn't know who has internet they may be trying to help proactively for learning in quaranting.

Agree- we were in quarantine for 1 day and our teacher reached out to let us know we would have access to virtual learning after day 3. It was going to be recorded lessons, but that's better than nothing. They would access via Canvas I believe.
