It’s fun bc a lot of schools do require this already…and guess what? Parent still have no say in education of their children.

I want to know this too. TWO BILLION DOLLARS for one city. And they still claim it’s not safe to open schools. After they’ve already failed their students for over a year. I hope at least a few people go to prison for that.
They need to fire every single one of the teachers and admin in that school system, starting at the very top. And then start again. No unions.
Okay Sherlock, where are you finding these replacements in a country that is already suffering from a teacher shortage? Face it, there aren't a rush of candidates willing to teach your children.

They have families and children they love and want to protect, so they don't want to get infected and take it back to their homes. I feel for the teachers and I feel for the the students. I do know that if I was a teacher, I would be seeking different employment at this time. I would also discourage my children from entering the teaching profession. The pay is horrible, the rewards few, and like government workers teachers are despised.
If there was no way to make the schools safe, whoever lied there was should be impeached and the money should be returned!
Who said they could be safe? At this point the billions probably went to repairing schools that have been put off for decades. There was no HEAT in Baltimore public schools pre-Covid and the water fountains were not sterile. Billions to replace all that, in the guise of putting in better air circulating affects, would just about bring U.S. schools into the 21st century instead of the 1980s were they were.
I have no problem with that.
