Among the other measures announced on Monday were closing indoor dining at restaurants and bars; closing indoor concert venues, theaters and cinemas; and shutting indoor sport and recreational fitness facilities including gyms.
The measures also require businesses and organizations to ensure employees work remotely unless they are needed on-site.
He did. He declared the emergency order which allows them to close schools. Of course HE isn't announcing schools closing because
1. That's political suicide. Passing the buck is better and
2. The hospitalization and deaths are unvaccinated.
Except when you slip on the ice today.

Because Hogan prefers putting his constituents safety and wellbeing at risk with subpar healthcare, in the hope that most of them won't realize they were at risk all this while, and vote for him for Senator, because they're just happy he didn't close anything and let them get on with their lives.
I loathe elected officials who gamble on their voters' stupidity.

Nobody wants anything to shut down again (it's not realistic long term anyway) so why doesn't Hogan just restrict indoor dining, gyms, etc to those who are vaccinated? That's what Chicago is doing. Maybe if these people had actual consequences, they'd go get vaccinated.
I wish Hogan was more proactive, but in truth, these mandates put the burden on businesses to implement and enforce, which is a big ask. Not only that, but NYC has all of these mandates, and it doesn't seem to be stopping transmission at all.
Because of the mandates, I noticed all my NYC friends were very confident about going to restaurants, Broadway shows, etc. Most of them also got covid.
Whereas me, hiding in my house for the month of December? No covid.
I'm not judging, I am just tired.

I think there's three antibody drugs and only one, the newest, works on this variant, right?
