Hopefully not, that would be a horrible mistake.

They won't, they can't due to SB 1303

Never thought I would say this, but thank you Republicans for forcing them to stay open!

Hey dipsh1ts - the D governor and D general assembly passed 1303.

Remember that in November!

Good thing I'm not a single issue voter. ll also remember that Republicans are trying to erode voting rights and Roe v. wade. I'd crawl over broken glass to vote against republicans.

This was what happened about 5 years ago when they waited, it was clear at 6am then snow came late and then started heavy as elementary buses were picking up. Bus accidents, cars sliding all over the place.

Yup. Bus slide right down a hill near us and crashed into cars. It was nuts.

I was a child-free resource teacher that year. My car basically slid all the way from Fairfax to Arlington. I was so stressed because I arrived a half an hour late because of the crazy roads and the AP yelled at me. Number of my students who showed up for school that day=0.

Just looking out the window at 5am is not a good way to make any decision about closing school.

It’s still snowing and getting heavier- kids would still be on their way to school for the next hour and a half- not sure how you get to decide it’s a bad call right now.

A lot more stuck than I expected. I’m comfortable predicting closure tomorrow based on current snowfall and low temps

" based on current snowfall and low temps" ...and covid. If it's even a close call they'll close...because you get the extra benefit of another day for people to get sick and stay home.
