That's not always helpful for people with ADHD. I cannot study in silence, I need music. I have been diagnosed since 5th grade which is unheard of since I am female and was born i 1984.
I also hate silence and have always studied better with people around. Always preferred studying at the dining hall or coffee shop rather than the library. And I do my best learning in study groups.

Maybe? I went to a top public and was accepted into the top boardings but was a donut hole per DCUM. Full pay for college but 60k/year for HS not in the works.
I had one child and if they are interested and competitive? They'll go.

My wife went to Hotchkiss. All on scholarship. There were no schools that could challenge her academically the way Hotchkiss could. Then she went to Yale undergrad and Harvard law. She seems to do alright for herself. She's an excellent wife and mother and a successful partner at a top law firm.
