Straight A's for now. I am thinking of talking to her about the classes identified here as needing a lot of memorization.
Can anyone tell me about AP bio? AP Microeconomics? AP Macroeconomics? Lots of memorization. Which class is less demanding?
I know all APs are demanding but I'd like her to couple some with some that are less so. Unlike OP my child will have to do some AP social studies which I hear are difficult so looking for some "easier" ones too. No art or language please.
AP Micro and Macro are each one semester, with two separate AP tests. Just something to consider.
Is that everywhere? So do you have to take both?
AP Macro and AP Micro are both 1 semester classes in MCPS. I don't know about other school systems or private schools.
My DC is taking both Macro & Micro this year. I don't think it's required that students take both; however, I suspect most students taking "AP Econ" take both Macro & Micro. In MCPS, there are a handful of semester long history/social studies courses, so a student does have the flexibility to "mix & match."
