Describes my son who also has ADHD and is math-focused. He took AP Calc BC junior year along with AP Physics 1 and did well in both. He's now taking AP Physics C (much harder to do well--very challenging but is his favorite class. Because of his love of math, he's planning to major in Physics in college and these classes sealed that decision for him).

Is that everywhere? So do you have to take both?
AP Macro and AP Micro are both 1 semester classes in MCPS. I don't know about other school systems or private schools.
My DC is taking both Macro & Micro this year. I don't think it's required that students take both; however, I suspect most students taking "AP Econ" take both Macro & Micro. In MCPS, there are a handful of semester long history/social studies courses, so a student does have the flexibility to "mix & match."

I would pair AP AB Calc with AP Economics. Very little work and easy.

My kid also finds ap psych more work than ap calc, ap lang and ap spanish. he likes it, though.

If your child is more math oriented, I agree with others that I would skip Pscyh and Lang, both of which require a lot of reading and writing. If your son likes, music my son took AP Music Theory last year and didn’t find the class particularly hard. Obviously you need to have some background in music though.

My DDs school does and they offer all the APs not a limited amount. Can't speak to the dumbing down but they show the distribution of who scores 4+ and its pretty significant so if it's dumbed down then these kids sure are doing a heck of a lot of sleep study.
