We have one of those rolling hamper things with 3 compartments - his, mine and dry cleaning.
I think the secret is that I rewear things. For example, jeans get worn several times before washing unless they are stained. Bras (I have like 15) are worn, set out to air out, and then washed monthly. T shirts and tops are worn once before washing. Sweaters are worn several times - I wear a t shirt underneath to hold sweat and odor. Socks and panties obviously worn once too. Work dresses work 2-3 times before being dry cleaned.
HTH!

I'm an adult woman who lives alone, and does 3 load a week - one of sheets, and 2 for various clothes and towels.
Also, it's MUCH easier to do a load as soon as you have one to do, rather than spend all day (or multiple days) doing a giant backlog of laundry.
I don’t think anyone said they rewear their workout clothes. And I can see why you live alone.
Have you seen My 600lb Life? Almost everyone on there has a partner. Doesn't mean everything's healthy and dandy.
And yes, doing laundry once a month must make your house smell. The stink and dankness multiplies over time. Of course you don't notice it, but I'm certain others do.
Do you live in a studio apartment? I have a 3600sq ft house and can assure you that my guests are not hanging out in my laundry room. There is a world outside of your poor, tiny, little bubble. And excessive laundry washing is terrible for the environment. Shame on you!
Not sure if trolling or majorly stupid.
What does this mean? A 3600 sq foot house for one person is huge.

Anonymous wrote:Sometimes I let my laundry pile up for 3 weeks (I use a big woven, lidded plastic laundry basket that holds a lot) and honestly, I think it’s so much more work to do all that laundry at once. Easier and less time consuming overall to stick with one load per week for my clothes. I toss everything in with warm water and hand dry most of it. Each person in my family has a different assigned day and on Fridays the sheets and towels get washed. Easy peasy.
Anonymous wrote:Gross. I hate it when people have stinky laundry piles. You can totally smell them. Old and musty. You’re not taking it out back and beating it with a stick. Just do a load every day.

I definitely don’t rewear workout clothes. DH works out 5x per week and does his own laundry weekly on Sundays. He has tons.
Towels/sheets - I used to be adamant that these get washed weekly. I’ve loosened up and delegated much of this. DH is in charge of washing towels and changing them out and he does that about weekly. Sheets are done by our cleaning lady every 2 weeks when she comes. We have one kid and no pets tho!
