If you haven't tried KoChix it is better than both (but get it delivered, it's kind of seedy)

Only a member of the D.C. gentry could vote this place up while simultaneously voting it down.

Make that "would"

Roaming Rooster
Momo
Chik-fil-a

Don’t have a go-to place for non fast-food fried chicken (which can/should be much better than all of the above.

I have never been but I've heard it is quite good. It was written up in WaPo recently. Very strong review.

Sadly, it was not awesome on my stomach after I'd stopped eating fast food and then tried Roy Rogers.

Roy Rogers is so underrated.

I love Roy Rogers! By far my favorite, although Royal Farms is pretty good too.

Never understood the Popeye's love - every time I've tried it, it's been on the spectrum from tastes weird to truly inedible. And it's not always the same restaurant, this spans multiple states. I admit, after the last visit a few years ago, when the chicken was bad and the sides were actually rancid, I've given up completely.

Try the sandwich. It is good. Everything else, not so much.

Central’s unjustly famous chicken dish is tasty enough, but it’s not real fried chicken. It’s like the world’s most expensive chicken nuggets. If it is boneless, it cannot properly be called fried chicken. If it has panko as breading, it is also disqualified (though I’ll allow panko for fried fish).

So, I actually tried Choongman's fried chicken today.
Similar to BonChon but I'm not a fan of wet chicken but it is crispy. I prefer if the sauce is on the side.
