Most of the classes held at mountaintop are art, design, and architecture classes. But yes, it is easy to access with a quick campus bus ride.

DS and I loved the town, great shops, very quaint. He is, however, one of those anti-drinking culture kids.

Stereotype much? There are very few Audis there, actually. I’ve seen more at Uconn and Elon. My kids majored in Economics and Statistics and both came out of school making 85k+. Daughter was in a sorority, but Greek life is dying. Two more fraternities were dissolved just this past month. It’s a great school and great launchpad into corporate America.

Lehigh alum here, graduated about 10 years ago. Wonderful experience. Greek life was pretty dominant at that time still- however, I would say that also meant that there were a variety of fraternities and sororities.
I had a wide social circle and hung out at several fraternities that had almost all 'nerdy' engineers or the like so even if your DD or DS has the idea that Greek life isn't their thing, they probably have a different idea in mind than the reality.
The only thing I would say is that if you are sober and/or adamantly against drinking Lehigh would most likely not be a good fit.
I had a wide social circle and hung out at several fraternities that had almost all 'nerdy' engineers or the like so even if your DD or DS has the idea that Greek life isn't their thing, they probably have a different idea in mind than the reality.
The only thing I would say is that if you are sober and/or adamantly against drinking Lehigh would most likely not be a good fit.

Just how Greek/party/athletic is Lehigh? DS is none of those things but likes the school otherwise. Could he find a niche (perhaps with other geeky engineering kids) or is Lehigh just the wrong place for that kind of kid?

We visited Lehigh this past weekend. The campus is absolutely gorgeous and the fall leaves just added to the beauty. I found the surrounding town to be just like any quaint small town with rows of shops, restaurants, etc. There were lots of students and local families out and about in the town.
