The ACC has placed a team in the Women’s College Cup in 38 of the past 39 NCAA Tournaments and in each of the past 16. Current ACC membership combines for 26 NCAA Division I Women’s Soccer Championships

21 of the 26 championships are from UNC. So 5 national championships for ACC schools that are not UNC. UnC has also never missed the NCAA tournament. Facts do matter.

Well UNC is ACC. And no other conference beat them. So what’s your point? ACC took the crown. Prove me wrong and we’ll talk.

Everyone beat UNC this year. Prove it yourself by looking at the stats.

It’s called a down year. It was expected. Tell us where ACC hurt you. 😂

Oh.. ok.. thanks! Anson's "coach" moved on to a new team. He had to coach this team himself. Now do you get it. The man behind the curtain LEFT THE SCHOOL.

Are you the man behind the curtain? Are you looking for validation? Anyhow, the ACC is the best conference for women’s soccer and it’s not even close to who’s second. We all know that and you do too, even though you deny it. C’mon, just admit it.

Times change. 38 years ago is a long time ago. College teams change a lot each year and the ACC in the past 10 years has changed a lot. You can only evaluate the ACC on their results in the past three years. ACC is living on their old reputation. Most colleges did not care about women soccer when UNC was running up wins. Most still do not care now. Look at Georgetown. Women soccer was not a scholarship sport till 10 year ago(or so).

So teams like UNC get high seeds based on their old reputation with the help of the old boys/girls club who draw up the tournament. Lately they have been losing. You can see the style of play is slowly changing in college. They still thug it up but the more dynamic players do not want to play that way any more. Also the best players are coming out of SoCal. There are more options for good players and game is passing the dinosaurs.

Prior to this year, the ACC has had teams in each of the past three College Cups (aka Final Four), including at least one team appearing in the finals each of the past three instances. ACC has one championship and three runner-up appearances.
And if you include this year, which isn't completed yet, the ACC has yet another school represented in the final four.
The ACC has had at least one team in 9 out of the last 10 championship matches.

It's ACC, California institutions and then everybody else.

Rutgers Vs BYU championship game. BYU wins in a shootout.

This would be awesome! I think Florida State beats Santa Clara in the championship though.

Rutgers? Who? Come on man

Rutgers? It's not only the place where Alexi Lalas played but also where Carli Lloyd played.

Big 10 regular season champions with a team made up of mostly PDA players.

It is a complete fluke that they made it this far.

Rutgers has a great team this year. Would not be surprised to see them win it.

Florida State is in the ACC. Are you denying their recent greatness? Anyhow, we see you won’t be convinced with overwhelming facts. Like said before, you believe in what you believe while the rest of us will believe in facts.
