Exactly how many weeks of annual leave do they think parents get? Also, my boss had enough after last week because everyone needed off all of a sudden when they announced late last time.

LCPS will soon follow lead. I am sharing the news that will be disseminated by end of this week or start of next week so parents can begin to procure childcare.

Tru. But we get to chill and stay mentally sane.

I know a few LCPS teachers. None of them are chill or sane.
Ok, but do make plans for that week. Monday and Tuesday will be asynchronic
Cut the BS.
But they aren’t. They haven’t said that or even implied it.

Let’s see what Youngkin does about staffing issues.
What happens if kids are in school but there aren’t enough teachers? Do they just put all of the kids in the gym for babysitting?

My HS kids have had this happen several times so far this year.

The office that deals with this was cut back years ago, and they don't have enough people to move the paperwork through the system at a good rate. There are subs in the pipeline who would fill some of these spots, but they haven't yet been cleared to work.
