Don't tell because it will do nothing but make it all worse. And don't do it again. And if you still have a sexual attraction to exH, don't ever create another situation where you would be tempted (e.g., college drop-off).
You screwed up. You were in a situation where you are encountering a life milestone (kid going away to college) about the life you created together. I can see how it could happen. Your ex is right.

I'm pretty sure my divorced parents hooked up while I was in college (a friend spotted my moms car in front of my dads late at night) and it really, really messed with my head.

Due to Covid, most college tours will only allow the student to bring a max of 2 guests. The entire family can’t participate in the tour, so if you had to pick I imagine it would be the parents.

That was my thought - along with wonder where the DD was. Those answers will determine how much of a setup this might have been.
