UCLA parent here. These are NOT facts. Have you ever attended UCLA, Berkeley, Michigan, etc.??? They are probably safer than USC, Hopkins, Chicago....
We're talking top publics, not some third tier state school like the one I went to! And I still never had 400 person lectures.

No public school is worth 50k +. UCs are great if you're a California resident otherwise, I'm not sure what the argument for these schools could be.
