It’s a pretty conservative religious school so I would still like to look like a nice respectable married mom.
Hmm I feel like I am nice and respectable but I am in a committed partnership but not legally married to the father of my child. Maybe people ahve been judging me this whole time?! OMGGGG
+1. That makes two of us. Apparently the world is out to get us degenerate folks! Yikes!
Anonymous wrote:What you are describing isn't a "fake" ring. Its a real ring, and many people buy them to celebrate their marriages. You are looking for something inexpensive, or maybe you could say you are looking for a ring with a fake diamond. It just strikes me as really disrespectful of people who can't afford an expensive diamonds to insinuate that the ring they'll buy at Macy's or Walmart or whatever for the person they love isn't real.
Anyway...I have a few rings I wear as wedding rings. One is the diamond set my DH gave me as an engagement ring. I also have a silicone ring I wear when my finger swells in the heat outdoors hiking etc, and then a plain stainless steel ring (really!). I actually kind of like that one best of them all. It cost $10, but is tough as heck, will last through anything, and still shines. Like my now 20-year marriage, I hope!

That's dumb. My wedding rings haven't fit since I had my second child and I haven't gotten around to resizing them, I've just gone ringless. No one has judged me, I doubt very many people have actually noticed. Do you actually LOOK for wedding rings on people's fingers? That's so weird.
