Nope they are snapshots cropped and edited by me.
As I posted above, your “competition” almost certainly has better looking/more purposeful photos. Buy new outfits, do your hair and makeup, and take pics for this express purpose.
This is not necessary. I’m 46, my photos are selfies, and every right swipe I make is a match.

5ft9in, 118 lbs, brown/green and D, which is not included in my profile bc I am not looking for a hookup. I like interesting ideas, cultural outings, current events, the arts, music, literature, cooking/fine food, and the outdoors. Also dogs. I have an unbridled libido, for the right person (also not in my profile).
If that's what you have on your app, very little of it strikes me as fun. Enjoyable, perhaps, but not fun.
What? Speak for yourself. Not everyone likes to sit around every night watching Below Deck and scrolling on Facebook.
The problem with listing these activities is that the people in your age bracket who like these things typically don't hang out on dating apps. And yes, the younger guys are messaging you to hook up because you look hot.
That you think that's the alternative speaks volumes about you.
Some of it is messaging - OP seems very passive and kinda boring. Change music to concerts; change the outdoors to hiking (or whatever).

A person casually includes being white as a positive attribute on posts like this, everyone nods along sympathetically, and then acts like white privilege is not a major feature of their lives. It reminds me of the post from the mom worried that her child got a C in math, who casually included that her child is white, as if it was especially worrisome that a white child would struggle in math. It’s the surprise that whiteness isn’t making the aspect of life easy, in a world that denies white privilege, for me.

Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Don’t include that you’re divorced with a kid. When I had that on my profile, I got very few hits. Instead I waited until our first date to mention it, no problems after that.
I don’t. I even edited my kid out of the photos.

No selfies with silly expressions hopefully.

This will come off as boring on an app. They’re really just for fun. Some people do find serious relationships on them, but they don’t tend to start out that way. I meet the younger guys for fun and date men who express interest when I’m out and about. I did end up dating one of those younger men for a year though, so you never know.
Don’t listen to this person
