Petty move.

My husband unfriended me a few years ago. He did not like me tagging him in photos he didn’t vet and he did not like seeing my liberal political rants.

People who have joint FB/social media accounts are the strangest. It's shouting to the world how little trust there is in your relationship.

I don’t think OP was talking about a “joint” account. As I understand it, this is about one spouse blocking or “unfriending” the other spouse from their own account.

+1. PP is confused. I don’t know anyone with a joint account. It is completely weird to, out of the blue, remove all trace of your spouse from your social media.

Haha I have an aunt like this. She doesn’t really understand how social media works and she thinks anyone with a profile picture with another person in it has a joint account. So if someone has a profile picture with them and their spouse she thinks it’s a couples account, if the picture has a whole family she thinks it’s a family account etc. She always complains about all the “joint accounts” she sees and I’ve tried to set her straight but she’s not hearing it.

I know of people who have joint accounts. They think that it’s a way to prevent them from cheating (there are religious people). And come to think about it, it probably does have an impact!

Absolutely. The lack of privacy via using Facebook on most browsers is pretty violating. It should go away entirely.

No other plausible explanation….

LOL, again another assumption the spouse is a husband.
