I am sure that white students are more than welcomed at Banneker. Sadly, I think most whites are like PP and don’t want their child to be a minority at a school because it terrifies them. They think their white child will be treated poorly, like a minority child in a predominantly white school. They also have a number of white teachers. I don’t think you know very much about the school based on your comment about teachers and it being an HBCI. It’s been recent that white families even considered DCPS at all… so almost all public schools in DC could be viewed as such at one time.

It’s a small school with a finite number of teachers. 25 is the number of kids that can do IB. They also have AP. DCI makes all the kids take one track. They’re different schools. I get it you love DCI. Great! I’m happy for you.

Not quite right on DCI. They have an IB diploma and IB career program. They have many similarities, but a few key differences. And both are IB sanctioned.
