This happens every few years there. Nothing new. Been going on for decades.
The attitudes are entrenched in the community then. The parents are not willing to do the hard work of rooting them out.
Racism cuts across all socioeconomic levels and all geographic areas. There are correlations, though - these days aligning strongly with the GOP.

There's a long history of similar incidents at these segregated schools. This is why it's so critical that they rethink the boundaries and diversify these schools.
There's a long history of minorities committing these crimes so that everyone assumes it's white kids. Then the police say, "we don't comment on the race of the perpetrators." It's the perfect smear campaign.
Similar to all of the white supremacists who infiltrated the BLM marches and broke windows and caused violence to smear BLM.
There is actually evidence of minorities committing these acts in schools, unlike what you state.
So THAT’S why you suggest the SROs? We know what kids they were surveiling.

No, because it is barely a W. It’s a consolation prize W. Like saying you live in North Bethesda.

JUst because it happens every couple of weeks at one W another doesn't make it okay.
Ok, so what do you propose be done about it? MCPS took out the SRO's - remember those folks there to help stop this kind of stuff. Guess the MS-13 came from another school to do it, right?
SROs hung around at night waiting to catch graffiti artists?![]()
You can argue about SROs all day long, but this isn't helping your case.

SROs have relationships with kids in the schools and get leads on who actually did it.
Or they used to.

Us, too. Why do people assume it was WJ population that did the graffiti on the outside of a school - seems more likely that kids from a rival school would do it to mess up a school that they don't like - perhaps because the school is inclusive. Reserving any judgment until the perpetrators are found.

It's fun to bash Ws.
It's ok to bash the other schools, though. Seems like many of the W schools are having lots of issues this year and its only October.
