Who cares? They are both kick and run teams. Not good soccer.

You've never watched 06 VDA. They are so fast, other teams look like they are literally standing still on the pitch

But that doesn't make for good soccer.

What are you talking about? They make more passes in 1-minute than other teams do in 10. They are full possession keeping team that looks for space, finds it, and can beat you crossing in or driving right at the defense. You'll almost never see them just kick the ball and hope a teammate find it. All purposeful passing with shots on goal. Again, until you've watched, you don't know. As for playing FCV, legit, ask their HC why they won't even agree to a scrimmage even though they are constantly asked.... there's only one reason: abject fear.

ECNL needs to stop catering to HS soccer.

ECNL is not catering to HS. ECNL is catering to the players desires.

PS….No one cares if you don’t like HS soccer. The overwhelming majority do.

PSS….Your kid isn’t going pro. Let them enjoy life.

The kids can certainly play HS if they want but there is no reason to shut the season down for it.

Go play HS if you want but ECNL should not sit and wait for you to return.

There's no way to do both HS and club soccer. It's too much on the kids. And then there's when do they get time to do homework. Club soccer could be one day a week practice and no games or tournaments until HS season is over.

My HS team is entirely made up of ECNL and GA players.

They do HS and club soccer at the same time. What benefits do you get out of lying?

Not lying. My DC plays HS soccer 4 days a week of practice and at least one game a week. No one should be doing anymore than that. If so then you're likely to get injured from overuse.

High school practices are usually weak sauce. No big deal to do one of those and go straight to a club practice.

That is mentally and physically draining. You go out and workout for 3.5 hours a day, 5 days a week for 8 weeks and see how you well you do. You also remember they have homework. That's way too much for kids. This is how kids get injured.

Any idea if the girls ECNL will re-align like the boys side did this year (MD/VA/NC vs. VA/NC/SC)?

Every girl team would rejoice not having to travel to SC

Is 1 trip to SC really that bad? DMV girls ECNL clubs are a bit spoiled in regard to travel already considering at least 5 conference games can be played without an overnight stay.

It's not, but doesn't SC playing with GA make more sense than with NOVA? Yes. Does NOVA playing Bethesda make more sense than playing SC? Yes. That's all we're saying. Think of the cost savings over multiple clubs, multiple teams, multiple days (that's NOVA going south and SC heading north). Almost every other conference has localized their clubs better than mid-Atlantic. There are outlier clubs, sure... but Bethesda is literally minutes from some clubs, but instead they play a club a days drive away. Come on, man.

Answer this - Does it make sense for MD kids to plays HS and Club at the same time while competing against VA who are only play club. Do you not see major issues with that? If so, the conversation is over. If not, you should dig deeper to understand that various issues.

WTF are you talking about. VA kids play HS. Our entire team plays HS soccer and did an entire slate of spring ECNL games/tournaments. This whole HS junk is the lamest excuse in history. VA kids 1000000000% play HS soccer and, in the case of Colgan HS in Manassas, dominate. You've never been more wrong and lame with an excuse that is wholly weak af.

Have you noted the number of kids with ACL injuries? It is not good to play Club and HS at same time. ECNl gets this which is why this will not change. VA aligns with hs seasons and Md aligns with their hs season.

That would be great and all, except that it's not true (aligning the seasons) on the boys side, as VA ECNL boys plays against MD ECNL boys in league play with the recent re-alignment.

That’s good and all but the MD boys are pulling double duty. Not good for them…but good for the VA kids I guess.

Are you seriously this stupid that you don’t think the shoe would be in the other foot in spring when VA HS soccer season starts?

1. Watch your mouth
2. I dont care if the burden was reciprocated.

It too much. Everybody involves knows it too much.

1. There is no requirement to do both.
2. You are too stupid to realize that VA kids would face the same dilemma in the spring.

Apparently you are too stupid to realize I just said that.

All due respect, either take a nap or a breath and get your thoughts together.

So you are just so entitled that you feel you should do both without sacrifice

Did either of you look at the boys ECNL standings? Md boys are playing hs soccer. Their ECNL season doesn’t start until after hs season is over.

So who are they going to play? The VA teams, or will they be taking time out at that point because they are playing VA HS soccer? Or will the MD clubs play all their ECNL games in 6-8 weeks and shut down again in the Spring because VA HS soccer?

That is not remotely true and no I am not a parent on either team. These are both great teams with talented players. So much jealousy.
