Anonymous wrote:Hey all. My DC submitted their Pitt app and SRAR about 6 hours ago but hasn’t gotten any automated reply acknowledgment. They saw screens pop up that things were admitted and the app fee is on my credit card. Does this usually take time? I thought it would be quick.

They don't use the grades reported in the Common App, so you either need SRAR or official transcript. Their website says they highly recommend the SRAR. Using the transcrip will slow down the process.

PP above. Mine has a 4.0 and 1450 SATs from FCPS.
Did your kid use the Self-Reported Academic Record or official transcript? If the official transcript, they say that will take longer to process. If SRAR, I would contact admissions to make sure the application hasn't fallen throught the cracks. (Now I'm wondering if I jumped the gun. In the dashboard under the Admissions tab, the school of engineering shows up with a button to accept or decline, so I'm assuming she has been accepted. But she can't access her Pitt email to confirm.)
