Not all of the elite. There are many families that don’t even look at Sidwell because they think it is too liberal and not the right social scene. More conservative families I know look elsewhere. For example not many families cross over socially in STA and Sidwell whereas other schools they do. It is quite strange even trickles down to the kids. Very different schools and social circles.

Op your math skills are weak. Two presidents does not equal all. Bush’s daughter attended NCS and 2 sons attended STA. Bush was on governing board od NCS.

Correct, Caroline Kennedy was registered to attend Stone Ridge before ... they moved to New York.

I believe her cousin Kathleen Kennedy Townsend (Robert Kennedy's oldest) went to stone ridge as well while her dad was attorney general and senator.

I think her younger sisters went elsewhere...rory went to madeira, but that may have been because she wanted to stay closer to the family home in mclean after their father was killed.

What advantages did sidwell kids have over dc privates though?

Considering there were 14 in 2018 and 13 in 2020, 16 is not much away from a normal distribution for Sidwell

These two Sidwell threads are pretty funny. You are basing all of this "head and shoulders superiority" on a decision made by two families over a 15 year period and one three hour test.

Sidwell is a terrific school (among many in the area public and private) but I wouldn't let these points be the reason I sent my kids there.

Congrats though to the National Merit Semi-finalists.

They spent a year at Horace Mann while their Dad worked on their Grandfather's election campaign before the family moved back to Austin.
