Exorbitant? It’s less than my Slac at $82k a year! And why should the Commonwealth get f Virginia be educating your OOS at $58k (that includes all fees) at all unless they bring something very special to the campus? Same with UCLA and Berkeley

Counselors also write a letter of recommendation for Virginia schools so should be very up front with parents about applying to high star schools when the student doesn’t have high stats. It’s their job to reroute the student to a more suitable Virginia school if in-state or to others more suitable if OOS
At Blair the counselors do not advise the students where to apply or route them anywhere. It’s a huge school.
