So the US failed to open the strait and attacked the Iranian port facilities that export oil. Now Iran will strike back and destroy port facilities in the gulf.
Now if the strait is open there is no way to load oil on tankers…so the oil is stopped, oil prices will rise and remain high for years.

A Secretary of Defense really should operate from a platform of professionalism, respect, and humility. He's only got a couple years of this left before he returns to decades of civilian life as the weekend news guy again. Personally taunting Iran over and over seems like a really bad idea.

He will be impeached and outed when Trump is incapacitated or dead this summer. So he’ll govern for 6 months, and the GOP will try to thwart him at every turn to win a couple midterm seats. Their strategy is to elect Dems to start to fix this while also saving face. (Though they had to wear ridiculous does fit the emperor.)
