Wait but ICE is plain clothed and no identifying badges. You support that how is this any different?

FBI didn’t tell MAGA to storm the capitol, poop on the floor and smear it on the walls. MAGA chose to behave illegally.

It's not the FBI's job to do crowd control.

that said, look at the post above yours. The FBI has been trumpland for years, I mean the NY field office tanked Hillary in the most partisan way possible.

During her campaign, Hillary Clinton groused that FBI was "Trumpland" - she wasn't wrong. For a long time after J6 I was wondering why the FBI didn't seem to be prepared and didn't seem to react quickly despite numerous tips, and why they seemingly didn't do anything to stop J6. And, why they took their long sweet lazy time investigating it afterward.

Well now we know, given the release of the J6 AAR and other insights. Turns out that there was indeed concern at the top about J6 and Proud Boys but the FBI rank and file didn't particularly do anything about it because they thought Proud Boys were "friends of law enforcement" et cetera. The After Action Report tries to provide them with a cover and says that FBI agents were "confused" and "unclear" on what their purpose was in being there for J6 - and that's because they didn't think MAGA and Proud Boys were a problem... because they sided with MAGA and Proud Boys and the J6ers. They sympathized with the Proud Boys, Oathkeepers, III% and believed they were "on the side of good," and in fact we also know that those organizations have many current and former law enforcement and military among their membership. Frankly it was sickening to see MPD officers fist-bump Proud Boys when they came to town to cause chaos, assault random civilians and vandalize two historic black churches. And some within MPD were found guilty of sharing police intel with them. I wouldn't be surprised if the same happened with FBI.

This puts a whole new twist on the "J6 was feds" - it wasn't a "fed false flag" - there's no evidence FBI led the charge, but the AAR does reveal that they basically "stood back and stood by" and did nothing while their Proud Boys and Oathkeepers buddies did the dirty work. Turns out the "Deep State" within FBI was pro-MAGA. There's no evidence that it was a "false flag" to make MAGA look bad, and it wasn't an outright "inside job" but it certainly seems evident that they didn't stand in the way of Trump's J6 insurrection and didn't try to shut it down, and that they slow-walked much of the subsequent investigation, prosecution, and gave themselves cover by downplaying their role in it.

Exactly. This situation reminds me of the saying: There are 3 kinds of people in the world. Those who make things happen, those who watch what happens, and those who say, “What just happened?”

The people who say Jan. 6 was just some excited tourists won’t watch the testimony of the January 6 Committee, which was pretty well done IMO. They watch brief news clips, but only on certain stations.

Hillary was right- some people I’d toss into the basket of deplorables.
