One of the problems with open tryouts. I'd say over half of the kids I watched did not even have the basic skills or lacrosse IQ down, so try to make up for it with brute force.

New to UnderArmour tryouts this year-boy's Highlight division. Do many college coaches come to DC tryouts? Is there 1 team per grade in HS or just 1 Command and 1 Highlight team from each region? Anybody willing to share advice - are there hundreds of kids there so we need to arrive super early even if registered?

Really, get some MD holdbacks who are world beaters as 15 year old 8th graders and who end up being pretty average once their peer group goes through puberty and catches up phyiscially by junior year. The Prep way!

Right, you mean by holding back majority of kids to seek an edge? Didn't seem to work out too well for Prep.

It’s always a great afternoon. Fun for all. The Tewaaraton Foundation does an excellent job and it’s nice they added this component for younger kids a few years ago. It’s all part of growing the game.

Great clinic with the Tewaaraton finalists today. I don't think they learned a tremendous amount of lacrosse, but fun to be out there and have the kids see some great role models. Players were super kind to the kids. Fun experience.

Prep should be very strong in 2019 and unlike bullis they have built their program the right way.

Watched the GEICO tourney and have to agree with the PPs...who are you representing so well with the snarky comments about Bullis? If Prep, then you must be deflecting attention from the very poor coaching hire. When is the last time Prep went 9-9? There is zero excitement around your program and the trend is not good.

At least Bullis repped the region well with a spanking of Episcopal (TX) and a competitive game for most of the night in the semis...I saw Prep was down 5-0 in a flash to Culver and was never in the game, playing from behind like they did all season against quality opponents. I guess when your program is imploding you call other people names to reduce the pain.
