When it’s clear that they are mocking her, she ends the conversation and strips down to her bikini in front of them in a clearly deliberately sexy way, and it has the desired effect (jealousy).

I thought that scene revealed a lot about their relationship. Rachel may be sweet and naive in some ways, but she married him for money and knows that he married her for looks without many deeper issues being explored. That becomes a problem for her quickly, but not him.

How could you tell she was pretending about him paying off her student loans? And how could you tell she was trying to be sexy and make the girls jealous? What if she just wanted to take a dip in the pool?

Just finished White Lotus and came to see what people are saying. It was a slog till the 5th and 6th episodes where it became quite compelling. What most fascinated me was how the unhappy spoiled rich people ended up happy after using and abusing the service workers. Dark, dark critique of capitalism. I mean, DARK.

Re:eminent domain. I know an older black gentleman in his 70s where a university bought/took his family’s house and property through eminent domain. And to make matters even worse, they weren’t even allowed on the campus property! Recently he was given an honorary degree on his family’s property.
