That was one of the most (non sexually) graphic scenes I’ve ever encountered. I’d love to know how they filmed it.

The thing that is not ringing true to me is the relationship between the newlyweds - Rachel and whatever the douchey husband's name is. It's like they don't even know each other. it's weird.
In the scene by the pool where she’s talking to the disdainful younger girls, she tells them that they got married quickly, essentially because “Shane knows what he wants” (paraphrasing). They sarcastically suggest that he pay off her large student loans, and she pretends that she hadn’t thought of that. When it’s clear that they are mocking her, she ends the conversation and strips down to her bikini in front of them in a clearly deliberately sexy way, and it has the desired effect (jealousy).
I thought that scene revealed a lot about their relationship. Rachel may be sweet and naive in some ways, but she married him for money and knows that he married her for looks without many deeper issues being explored. That becomes a problem for her quickly, but not him.

Fell down the White Lotus TikTok rabbit hole and someone described it perfectly! Boring scenes with dramatic music.

Because if you watch carefully she is into herself. She really isn't interested in others. Her long diatribe to Belinda showed her true self. Was she ever capable of making one coherent sentence? She didn't really understand herself and just babbled about herself.

This was puzzling to me too but I think she wanted Belinda to tell her YOU CAN DO IT GIRL! - and Belinda was tired of silly needy ass white women and without that encouragement Rachel resorted to type. Personally I would have stayed and gathered some resources so I could leave on better footing but obviously she isn't as jaded and cynical as I am.
