Sometimes when I see a woman with a tiny diamond I wonder how cheap her husband must be to not bother to get her something nicer.
The larger the diamond the more I think her husband wanted to impress her/ show his love. Also that he’s rich.
This was either posted by a really insecure husband, or a really insecure wife. I can't imagine caring what anyone else thinks of my ring. Though I do know some people who think that just because (in their case, their husband) has a certain "title/role", that she (again, in the case I know) have "certain items", which cracks me up. If you think that way, I don't have much in common with you, is all.

I never got one because I hate raised stones on my finger, and get annoyed with the stone rotating around and catching on things. I have my great grandmother's ruby ring where the stones are set flat into the band, and I like that. I wear a plain band most of the time, if I remember to put it on.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Lol. This is such a dumb American thing invented by DeBeers. So many cultures in the world don't even have engagement rings, and Americans never even wore them before the 20th century.
We don't even wear wedding bands. Definitely didn't want to piss away thousands of dollars on stupid carbon that's the same thing as in charcoal and pencil lead. Really stupid brainwashing. Much better using that money to buy a house or invest.
Americans are so dumb. Blowing tens of thousands in debt to buy a ring and have a big wedding. Nothing like staring out life in massive amounts of debt on top of studentoans all because you both got into the studios wedding industry's propaganda that you need engagement rings and weddings.

This is so comically pathetic. Tell us how very much you care about this without actually telling us...

Anonymous wrote:Absolutely not, what a pathetic thing to do. OTOH I wear a 1 ct diamond, sure, people can go ahead and judge me all they want.
Anything too big reeks of desperation and insecurity, just my opinion.

Yes it is. Whether you like it or not, it is.
