Why does CHIP need to be attached to the CR? It expired months ago and Republicans have saved it for this moment. They could have put brought it to the floor before it expired and it would have passed. They are playing games with kids’ lives. They could put it up for a vote tonight as a stand alone bill and it would easily pass. Republicans control what goes to the floor, not the democrats.
