No one should call the cops is my point. Adults incapable of handeling minor situations is pathetic and speaks volume of why so many kids grow up weak and entitled. As far as me, the ref would have got handled how I saw fit at the time. But I would have handled it myself.

If a parent approached a ref and slapped his whistle out of his hand, I doubt anyone would have a problem with the ref calling the cops on the parent and having him/her removed from the premises. SO why is a ref allowed to approach a parent, slap the phone out of his hand and then suffer no consequences for his actions?

Now you can argue that it speaks poorly about our society that either event happens, but I don't see why one situation should be treated differently from the other, especially is the phone was damaged.

I was on bleachers between the fields. Apparently the Ref and a parent got into it based on some bad calls and when the ref approached the parent he was being filmed with what looked like a cellphone. Ref didn't not think kindly of it and slapped the phone out of the parent's hand. Parent called called cops and attempted to file assault charges. It was more entertaining than my daughter's finals loss!

No, it was VYS parents fighting over how awesome their rec program could be.

I don't recall which teams were involved but it was the U11/u12 range. I was just curious.
